So, our amazing intern Seth McCollum of VCU is giving a presentation at The 12th Biennial Symposium on Arts and Technology this week. It is a visual music art piece he created, based off of the abstract paintings and plans of Leopold Survage (1912). He planned to animate himself using film, but WWI got in his way. Seth referenced Survage’s images, put his own spin on the painter’s ideas and used 3d imaging to create the piece titled Coloured Rhythm.
