Ok, so maybe we’re over dramatizing this just a tad because some of these processes and procedures allow the organization to function in an orderly way. However, a lot of them do not. They only serve to frustrate employees, slow down the pace of business and hamper decision-making – all of which has a direct effect on shareholder value (the very excuse for the creation of these processes in the first place). Most clients chalk this up to their “highly complex organization”, however, we believe complexity usually just mucks things up, and what can be done simply, should be.
