Designing and Executing Strategy
Strategy is as much behavioral as it is analytical.
Strategy generation programs or processes often miss this important factor when they guide managers through planning efforts. Organizations are composed of people. And, people choose strategies to improve the performance of their organizations. Yet, a fundamental assumption of strategy is that uncertainty prevents us from always choosing the right path. Much of that uncertainty comes from the response of those impacted by the results of implementing a strategy… customers, employees, policy-makers, suppliers, and the public. Our view of strategy is not picking the right answer. Rather, it’s choosing a workable direction that reflects the needs, behaviors, and insights of your stakeholders, the ones who use the strategy.
This workshop provides participants with an approach to designing and executing strategy that combines analytical and creative processes with stakeholder perspectives on the organization’s growth.
